These bites are the perfect dinner party nibble, starter before a pizza night in or as an after school snack. Best served warm out the oven but still tasty cold or reheated.
Cheese and Marmite Swirls Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of Violife Epic Mature Cheddar
- 3 tbsp Marmite
- 2 tbsp dairy-free butter (softened to room temperature)
- 1 sheet of ready to roll puff pastry

Method:
(makes 10-12 bites per sheet of pastry)
1. Mix softened butter and marmite in a small bowl.
2. Lay a flat sheet of puff pastry on a silicone baking mat (find my recommended here) on a baking tray. Evenly spread the butter/marmite mix over the pastry.
3. Sprinkle the vegan cheese evenly over the butter/marmite layer.
4. Roll the pastry up lengthways.
5. Use a sharp, wet knife to cut the roll into 2cm wide swirls.
6. Place onto a baking tray (with silicone baking mat).
7. Bake at 200 degrees C (390 F) for 10-12 mins.
