With only 4 Ingredients you can make the most simple sweet and sour sauce. Use this recipe for pasta, stir fry or even a vegan ‘Chinese fakeaway’! It is also perfect for when you are running a little low on food in the house.
For my VEGAN CHINESE FAKEAWAY picture inspiration – see the end of this post.
Please note this is a Sweet n Sour inspired dish that has been adapted to use Asian flavours along with commonly found western cupboard and fridge ingredients.

Post coming soon all about my VEGAN CHINESE ‘FAKEAWAY’ but for now, see the photo below for inspiration on how I would serve this simple sweet and sour sauce.
In the vegan Chinese fakeaway I served the sweet and sour sauce with vegan chicken strips onion and bell peppers.
Accompanied by Linda McCartney duck pancakes, kale ‘seaweed’, veggie spring rolls, garlicky and soy sauce fried pak choi and rice!
Please let me know if you make this at home by tagging me @virtually_ vegan in your pictures on Instagram or sending me a message. I would love to see your versions of this sauce and what you use it for!
