What’s Vegan at Costa Coffee?
If you can it is best to support to small, independent coffee branches and your local cafes.
However, sometimes it is not always possible to ‘shop around’ as a vegan, especially if you are in an airport or abroad. Then this guide will help you when you are struggling to find vegan options and spot a Costa Coffee near by.
Pro Tip!
Earn 5 points per £1 you spend when you sign up for a Costa Coffee Club card which will give you 5% in credit back on the club card to spend next time you’re in store. Plus you can earn download Stocard app on your smartphone to store your club card details and barcode on so you don’t even need to carry the Costa Card with you to collect points! Genius right!?

Vegan Costa Coffee Drinks
Vegan Milk Options:
Soy = Free
Oat +50p
Almond +50p
Coconut +50p
Syrup Options:
The most popular syrups in coffee shops are vanilla, hazelnut and caramel, and at the moment there is also the Toffee Spice range from Costa. Add these syrups for an extra twist of flavour and sweetness.
1. Coffee
Most coffee orders are vegan with dairy-free milk. Including Latte, Flat White, Americano, Cortado, Caramel Cortado and, if you are looking for an extra-strong coffee, Espressos.
Which coffee to order?
Espresso – Just shots of coffee. Perfect for enjoying the coffee’s flavour or as an after-dinner sip.
Espresso Macchiato – Espresso coffee with a small amount of milk foam.
Cortado – Espresso shots topped with a small amount of warm, silky milk.
Flat White – Strongest of the milky coffees. High ratio of coffee to silky milk.
Americano – Espresso and hot water (black) or with a dash of hot or cold milk.
Cappuccino – Espresso with some silky milk and a thick layer of micro-foam. High ratio of coffee to milk.
Latte – Espresso with steamed milk, topped with a thin layer of micro-foam. High milk to coffee ratio.
Go the extra mile:
Don’t forget the Toffee Spiced latte for an extra twist of flavour! Or the Latte+ range which can add B12 or Zinc to your Caramel Oat and Vanilla Coconut varieties or extra protein to the Hazelnut Almond variety.
2. Tea
Tea flavours include: English Breakfast (including decaf) , Earl Grey (a classic tea with a floral twist. I recommend serving this black but you can also add dairy-free milk if you wish) Fruit Infusion, Mint Infusion (refreshing and good for an uneasy stomach), Green Tea, Jasmine.
3. Chia Latte
Unlike its competitor Starbucks, the Chai Latte in Costa is suitable for vegans as stated on the Costa website.
4. Iced Coffee
Perfect for the summer. Grab an Iced latte (ice, shot of coffee and order with cold vegan milk), Iced Americano (ice, shot of coffee, topped with cold water and maybe a dash of cold vegan milk if you order a white coffee) or a Cold Brew coffee (ice and coffee that is brewed over a number of hours rather than coffee from the espresso machine which is hot).

5. Coffee Frostino (Iced Blended Coffee) – take off whip
(Super creamy blended ice and milk with coffee. Perfect for a thicker drink. Think tango ice blast but sophisticated with coffee vibes. This is my go-to order on a hot day!
You could even add your favourite syrup to mix the flavours up.
6. Iced Tea and Fruit Coolers
Red Summer Berries or Mango & Passionfruit Coolers and a strawberry tea infusion are available.
And that completes your FULL GUIDE on how to order a Vegan Costa Coffee drink + food orders.
